Employee GMP Program
1. Purpose & Scope
Establish strict, plant-wide personnel hygiene and manufacturing practices for all direct workers, supervisors, seasonal employees, visitors, and contractors on MEXSNAX production lines (M1 through M7). This program prevents physical, biological, chemical, or allergen cross-contamination of exposed food products.
2. Responsibilities
QA Manager: Maintains policy compliance, updates documentation, audits implementation, and conducts annual refresher training.
Production Supervisors: Conduct shift-start GMP compliance checks on all operators before line entry, daily floor checks, and apply immediate correction for violations.
All Facility Staff: Adhere to these guidelines at all times inside production and warehouse zones.
3. Program Guidelines & Code of Conduct
- Outerwear & Apparel: All employees must wear clean, company-issued shirts and aprons. Clothing must be free from tears, loose buttons, or sequins. Pockets above the waist are strictly prohibited. Aprons must be removed before entering the restroom or leaving the production building.
- Hair & Facial Hair: Hairnets are mandatory in all processing and packaging areas, fully covering all head hair and ears. Beard nets are required for any facial hair exceeding 1/4 inch in length.
- Jewelry Control: No jewelry (including earrings, watches, rings with settings, necklaces, bracelets, nose or lip rings) may be worn in production. The only exception is a smooth, plain wedding band with no stones. False nails, nail polish, eyelashes, and heavy cosmetics are strictly prohibited in the facility.
- Personal Items & Foods: Personal cell phones, keys, water bottles, candies, gum, and chewing tobacco are strictly prohibited on the production floor. Eating, drinking, and smoking are restricted to designated break rooms.
- Footwear: Slip-resistant, closed-toe shoes made of non-porous material are required. Prior to entering production, operators must walk through the sanitizing foot bath cross-overs.
